Call for projects relating to the service concession of a multimodal container terminal
Subject: The Port of Brussels is launching a call for projects relating to the service concession for the operation of the multimodal container terminal, located in the fore-port, on the right bank, along the canal, with rail and road access. A site plan is attached to this document. The operator will have to guarantee the open nature of the terminal, i.e. it will have to be accessible to the various operators and shippers of the waterways wishing to use it (without operational or commercial prejudice).
The call for projects also covers the land adjacent to the container terminal in order to develop a value-added logistics offer directly linked to the container terminal (services to the container such as the deposit of empty containers, fumigation, etc.; and services to the goods such as stripping and stuffing, stock management, urban distribution, etc.). This logistics offer may be proposed by the terminal operator or by a second operator who will work in partnership with the terminal operator.
